Album review: Body Count – Merciless
Ice-T’s crew Body Count return to reassert their radical rap-metal prowess.
Ice-T took to Twitter to announce that Body Count will begin recording a new record this April.
Ice-T doesn't waste time or mince words. The rapper, actors, and vocalist of Body Count -- arguably the greatest metal band fronted by an African American artist -- knows what he wants, and does it when he feels like it. So it makes sense that when Ice-T wanted to announced that Body Count was recording a new album, he didn't have someone whip him up a neat little press release, he just fuckin' told people.
Ice-T posted the following to his Twitter today, announcing that Body Count will return to the studio this April to begin recording an album tentatively titled Carnivore:
Hell yes.
Given that Body Count recorded one of the most controversial songs of all time, we're unsurprised that they're going to go brutal on the new record. After all, we're talking about a dude who tells cops to kiss his ass even while playing them on TV.
More on Body Count's new album when it comes. Here's the band's crushing video for No Lives Matter:
