BMTH Announce Post Human: Survival Horror EP Featuring BABYMETAL, Amy Lee

We've already had plenty of new Bring Me The Horizon music lately – from 2019's Ludens, to this year's Parasite Eve and their epic collaboration Obey featuring YUNGBLUD. But now, the Sheffield titans will be giving fans even more new material as part of a nine-song EP, Post Human: Survival Horror.

The band's new release is dropping on October 30, and as well as the aforementioned singles, it'll also include collaborations with BABYMETAL, Evanescence's Amy Lee and Nova Twins.

Back in August, Jordan Fish hinted at Bring Me The Horizon's planned EPs (yes, plural) – the first of which he described as “a bit more angry and, I guess, rocky.

“When we get into the other EPs, it’ll give us a chance to maybe get some other people on who are a bit more left field or a bit more out of the box for our band,” he added.

Last year, BABYMETAL's own MOAMETAL revealed that they'd love to collab with Horizon, enthusing: “We love Bring Me The Horizon and I respect the band and their music. We want to collaborate with Bring Me The Horizon.” We are so, so stoked this has finally happened.

Speaking to Kerrang! in June about what is inspiring Bring Me The Horizon musically when it comes to new material, frontman Oli Sykes explained: “I’m always looking for ways to illustrate something, whether it’s vocally or musically; not as a gimmick, but as a new way to process something. What I’m most inspired by is that nothing is typical. Ten years ago a hit for a popular artist was very easy to gauge – even if you couldn’t write a song, you knew what kind of song would be popular. There was a formula then, but that’s out of the window now. Whether it’s Billie Eilish, Lizzo or the next popstar, it feels to me that honesty and being genuine is what makes someone successful nowadays. There’s a lot of bullshit in the world, but it’s anyone’s game now and it never used to be like that. It’s almost influenced me to be myself a bit more than I was being, realising that what Bring Me The Horizon do is special and we shouldn’t lose everything, we should always retain what made us special in the first place and not always try to push forward and be different.”
