Au/Ra announces debut concept album, heartcore
“I open the dungeon of my mind for listeners to climb inside…” Au/Ra’s debut album heartcore will drop in June, with new single KILLSWITCH out now.

Au/Ra has announced details of her debut album, heartcore.
Due out on June 26 via Polydor, the alt.pop star describes the LP as a “concept album where I open the dungeon of my mind for listeners to climb inside. I created a character to help me process the real-life trauma of my girlhood, and how I healed from putting all my self-worth into being an artist. I had no idea who I was without Au/Ra.”
She stresses, however, that, “By the end of the album, I wanted there to be hope. Because despite everything that’s happened, I still believe in hope, for myself and for everyone else too.”
