Drummer Atom Willard has parted ways with Alkaline Trio after just over two-and-a-half-years in the band.

The sticksman joined forces with Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano in June 2023, but has today (February 2) taken to Instagram to announce that, “I have parted ways with Alkaline Trio. Thanks to everyone who made my time there so awesome, very thankful for the experience.”

Atom’s full statement is as follows: “With everything going on, going wrong, in the world right now this may seem insignificant, but it’s not for me.

“I have parted ways with Alkaline Trio. Thanks to everyone who made my time there so awesome, very thankful for the experience.

“I am currently considering all studio, collaboration, and touring opportunities.

“I hope we can all look to love, compassion, understanding, and acceptance of our fellow humans in these dark and scary times.”
