Watch the video for Architects' brand-new single, Black Lungs.
Following the release of colossal single Animals in October, Architects are back with the next release from upcoming album For Those That Wish To Exist.
The Brighton metallers' latest effort goes by the name Black Lungs, and comes accompanied by a post-apocalyptic video directed by Jeb Hardwick.
Speaking about For Those That Wish To Exist as a whole, songwriter and drummer Dan Searle reveals: “This album was me looking at our inability to change to a way of life that would sustain the human race and save the planet. I wanted to look in the mirror and ask ourselves the question of what are going to do, as opposed to trying to point the finger at politicians. Change has to start on a personal level. The world has developed a culture of wanting someone else to deal with it, when we need to take our own responsibility. It has to start there.”

Alluding to the musical direction the band are taking, meanwhile, frontman Sam Carter recently told Kerrang!: “I think [2018 eighth album] Holy Hell still had that Architects sound, but alluded to where we could go next. Holy Hell took us into arenas, and playing live in those spaces taught us a lot. We felt like we were able to go where we wanted, without losing sight of ourselves. After nine albums, you have to go somewhere a little different, a little uncomfortable, and that’s where creativity flies.”
