Album review: Calum Hood – ORDER chaos ORDER
5 Seconds Of Summer’s Calum Hood holds a mirror up to his mind on his debut solo album – and it’s REALLY quite GOOD…
5 Seconds Of Summer’s Michael Clifford is launching a solo project, and dropping new single cool next week via Hopeless Records.
Michael Clifford has signed to Hopeless Records for a new solo project.
The 5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist is following in the footsteps of his bandmates Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin in branching out from the pop-rock superstars, and his debut single cool is coming next week (Wednesday, April 2).
What’s it going to sound like, though? In a 2019 interview with Loudwire talking about his favourite riffs, Michael referenced Green Day’s American Idiot as a huge inspiration, while speaking to USA Today he shared a playlist of stuff he was listening to including Bring Me The Horizon, twenty one pilots, Oasis and Franz Ferdinand.
Given the vibe of the artwork below and the fact it’s on Hopeless, can we assume it’ll be pop-punk? Watch this space…
